Default 2008 Ody - Daytime running lights

Hello:

Is there a way to turn off the daytime running lights? I see other vans with these lights off, help, I read the manual and it seems like nothing is there about this subject.

I have the 08 Ody EX-L

Why do you want to turn them off? I'm just curious...

If you mean other Odys, it is because '08 is the first year DRLs are available. I don't believe there is a way to disable them. But then again, why would you want to?

Just as a test I pulled the fuse for the lights and the low beams low beams were out.

i believe there is a separate fuse for the DRL's the that would set off the DRL indicator light

Default Again, why?

Just a thought. It seems they put the DRL's in place for safety.

Default DRLs & Windshield Wipers

I sure wish I had DRLs on my 2007 Odyssey Touring vehicle. Has anyone figured out a way to do this short of turning the lights on and off manually?

Actually, as a test, I did put the light switch on Auto and then put a piece of cardboard over the light sensor. While it worked, there ought to be a better solution.

Another question - Has anyone figured out how to get the headlights to turn on when the windshield wipers are working. It is mandatory in some States.
