Yep, super easy to access the CAF on my 2008. You really should pull them and at least shop-vac them off once or twice a year. You'll know when your CAF is really plugged with debris by the diminished air flow from your HVAC system. You can also cut and use decent furnace filter media for CAF use (if you wanna go ghetto  )

for your 08' did you have a cabin air filter?...cause i think for the 05-07 LX models they didn't come with one
