Honda Odyssey, Hyundai Santa Fe named among best vehicles for retirees [4.18.8]

Forbes magazine has named two Alabama-built vehicles - Honda's Odyssey minivan and Hyundai's Santa Fe sport utility - among its best autos for retirees.

The rankings were based on factors that mature drivers should consider when buying a vehicle, such as crash-test safety ratings, the ease of entering and exiting and the position of the driver's seat in relation to the controls.

Topping the list was the Odyssey, noted for its tilt and telescoping steering column and eight-way power-adjustable seats to improve visibility. Also, the minivan's sliding doors are power-operated for easier opening.
