Default Folding Table

I have an '06 Touring model and it comes with a folding table/console between the front seats (other models may as well). Am I the only one who has found this to be relatively useless? Talk about a waste of space. The old center console set-up was much more convenient. I have found plastic tubs in which to put things under the folding table. It also came with a removable console that is supposed to be utilized between the rear captain chairs. Has anyone attempted to remove the folding table and place the removable console between the front seats? If I undertake such a project, I will post pictures.
Thanks

Yep that was the 1st thing my wife wanted replaced in our 07 EX-L. I got her a cluter catcher console at Wal-mart for like 40.00. If you flod down the factory console it holds the new one in place.. The only mod I made to it was a piece of 2x4 unde the front since the floor drops off at the edge of the seats. Drew

The area under the fold down tray is relatively useless. I like the ideas you have stated for what to put underneath it. Perhaps my wife would like the same.

Regarding what you have just read from nevadagarth: These are just my two cents are are in no way meant to offend or represent expertise in any area. This is just my experience and/or observations and the information previously stated makes sense to me.

Default moving center console of center seats-2007 touring

Has anyone found a way to move the center console to the outboard position near the door? This would allow more room to exit from the third row.
