In-dash drawer keeps sliding open - bad latch

We have a 2006 Odyssey EX-L and there is a drawer in the dash near the floorboard, below the DVD player. Anyway, the latch that keeps the drawer closed isn't working and the drawer slides open every time I accelerate the vehicle. I pulled the drawer and found a little piece of metal rattling around in the latch mechanism but can't figure out how it is supposed to fit back into place. Anybody else run into this problem?

Are you still under warranty? Short of replacing the latch, or entire drawer, you could try velcro.
